I’m originally from Spain but in 2007 I spent a year studying in Japan that opened my eyes about the world. Since then I have been lucky enough to live in the US, Ireland and Switzerland. You can read about my experiences on my blog.
I love solving problems with software and that’s what Google currently pays me to do. From 2010 to 2015 I worked designing systems to defend Google users against fraud and abuse. From 2015 onwards I have been leading an effort related to anomaly detection.
When I was younger I spent a lot of time playing online games. As part of that I formed a community initially named 4unrealers that later became Gamersmafia. The initiative lasted 10 years and we formed subcommunities for tens of games with thoustands of members.
Apart from videogames I have great memories of the 4 different Dungeons & Dragons groups that I have DM'ed for over the years. You can read about our adventures here.
Before I went to Japan in 2007, years of forced museum visits and school trips had dulled my attention. So the first thing I did when I landed in Osaka was buy a camera to force myself to pay attention to my surroundings. Since then I have been taking pictures and posting them on my blog and to Flickr.
